Las Vegas, NV – In a somber courtroom session, Henry Ruggs, once a promising wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders, received his sentencing today for a tragic car crash that cut short a young woman’s life and his NFL career.
Ruggs, 24, expressed remorse as he was sentenced to serve a prison term ranging from 3 to 10 years after pleading guilty to charges stemming from the November 2021 incident.
The fateful crash occurred when Ruggs, under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level of 0.1 (twice the legal limit), was driving at an astonishing speed of 156 mph.
